Office for Research
The Office for Research at2020年欧冠预测 fosters and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with federal, state, and corporate sponsors. We provide high quality and timely service to our faculty and staff while maintaining a balance between the interests of ISU, the State of Idaho, and the interests of industry for the public good.
Our scope encompasses several functional areas that handle different parts of the research process. We provide guidance, service, and support for a variety of research areas including- energy and environmental applications, healthcare, biomedical, geosciences, data assurance. We also provide access to research facilities through our Research Centers and Institutes.
Research Funding - the Sponsored Programs and Support team assists faculty and staff as they develop proposals for external funding for sponsored research, scholarly and community service projects and post-award assistance.
Research Outreach and Compliance - is a one-stop-shop for research compliance at ISU. We coordinate the Animal Facility, the Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Human Subjects Committee, and the Biosafety Committee. We also oversee Export Control, CITI training, the research use of Controlled Substances and Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and assurances regarding Responsible Conduct of Research and Financial Conflict of Interest. Finally, we organize Undergraduate Research and STEM Diversity and Outreach at ISU.

The unspoiled landscape of Idaho draws—and awes—hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. From its snow-capped mountains to its steep gorges, the Gem State truly sparkles in the Northwest.
But regular bouts of dryness and wildfires make Idaho, with its picturesque rough terrain and shrubby steppes, especially vulnerable to wildfires. The 2015 wildfire season was a record for the U.S. as a whole, and in Idaho, which suffered its worst fire season in nearly 90 years, the Soda Fire was one of the largest.
ISU anthropologist working on documenting life of 500-year-old mummy with researchers across country
POCATELLO – Researchers from2020年欧冠预测, the Idaho Museum of Natural History, Michigan State University, the University of New Hampshire and Pennsylvania State University are working to document and return the remains of a 500-year-old Incan mummy to Bolivia.

ISU's Corey Schou will join 33 previous honorees when he is inducted into the 2019 Cyber Security Hall of Fame by the Center for Education and Research Information Assurance and Security.
“It is a true honor and I am humbled to be mentioned in the same sentence as these true luminaries,” Schou said.
The formal induction will be held at an event on April 25, at the annual Hall of Fame Dinner at the Hotel at Arundel Preserve in Hanover, Maryland.
